Quick Update on the Acoustic Builds

I have been woefully negligent in keeping my blog updated on these guitar builds.  Four months since my last post is somewhat embarrassing!  The good news is that I am building and playing in lieu of writing.

So for a quick update, all three guitars bodies are complete, the necks for two are built, and one is guitar is fretted and close to final finishing.  I am focusing on completing the 12-fret 0-28VS right now.  I am itching to play it, so rather than spending months keeping each of the three moving forward, I am choosing to complete one.

Here’s the three bodies side by side.

All three are bound with curly maple.

Cutting the neck tenon and body mortise is messy business!

Right now I am working on the pyramid bridge and the nut.  Getting very close to putting strings on this baby!
